Local Fifth-Grader Wins Ride Along with Costa Mesa Police Officer

The Costa Mesa Police Association is actively engaged with residents of all ages within our great city. Killybrooke Elementary fifth-grader, Emily, recently entered a contest and won the thrilling opportunity to be driven to school by Officer Adam Gardner.

On the morning of March 7, Gardner picked up Emily from her home and took her to a local donut shop where she got to pick donuts for her entire class. During the ride, Emily operated the emergency light system and made announcements on the patrol car’s PA system. Her father told Officer Gardner that Emily couldn’t sleep the night before because she was too excited!
